After few months dilemma, between want to do it or not, finally we came to decision we want to make the small workshop. And we are very thrilled because it was our first time. From the preparation, booking the place, teaching, and so on, it was our first. How can you imagined how excited yet scared we are.
Here's the flowers we chose for the workshop. Slide for more photos of them. It got more spring shades, and it's really pretty. I can't stop look at that. We explain the name and kind of the flowers, is it local or import, and where to buy or where you can find these flowers.
Truthfully, because it was our first and lack experience, everything just feel so hectic and messy. I don't bring any asssistant there. It was like we doing some floral jamming, while teaching and casual talking. Just trying to give some relaxing vibe there, not too stressed out feelings. Because for some beginners, this floristry world could be some pressure, sometimes it happens to me.
And, on our next workshop for sure I'd like bring photographer, for documentation purpose. At that moment, truthfully don't have any documentation when I back to home. Got this video from my instagram story but that's okay. I tried to teach everything I knew, and hopefully the participants could understand of what I'm teaching. I'm opened to any question though during the class, and after the class over.
The style arrangements could be different to each person. Some people love it big, long, round, dynamic, and so on. You are free to do it as your preferences, again that's your preferences as long as you understand the technique and basic, you could do anything you want.
Look at how pretty the flowers there, the color mix are up to you. It could be more greens, or more purple, more white, or balance for each colors. Even though some flowers wither quicker than the others, we tried to make the arrangement could hold the shape and color up to 1 week. If you want it longer, then you can move the arrangement to the vase at your home, and replace the water every two days. Needing some commitment here for maintain you flower ;p
Here's our photo together with the arrangement. Even though the participant not too much but it's better. Because I could give my attention each participant, more like private. Of course I want to do the workshop for bigger participant, but this one not too bad for the start.
